All new subs start out as a Tier 1 sub. They will be paid whatever the school rate is. Note: Senya will deduct a $3 processing fee from each job.
Once a Tier 1 sub has completed 5th job in a calendar month, the app will automatically move them to a Tier 2 sub. The sub must maintain a minimum of a 4 star rating to stay on Tier 2. If the sub goes below a 4 star rating, they go back to Tier 1.
The sub will be paid the school rate plus 10%. 10% is calculated on the school rate only. If the school adds any additional bonus for ‘elite sub’ or ‘last minute sub’, the 10% is still just calculated on the base school rate.
Sub will stay on Tier 2 for the rest of that calendar month and the month thereafter.
Once a Tier 2 sub has completed 10th job in a calendar month, the app will automatically move them to a Tier 3 sub. The sub must maintain a minimum of a 4 star rating to stay on Tier 3. If the sub goes below a 4 star rating, they go back to Tier 1.
The sub will be paid the school rate plus 18%. 18% is calculated on the school rate only. If the school adds any additional bonus for ‘elite sub’ or ‘last minute sub’, the 18% is still just calculated on the base school rate.
Sub will stay on Tier 3 for the rest of that calendar month and the month thereafter.
Once a tier 3 sub has completed 15th job in a calendar month, the app will automatically move them to a Tier 4 sub. The sub must maintain a minimum of a 4 star rating to stay on tier 4. If the sub goes below a 4 star rating, they go back to Tier 1.
The sub will be paid the school rate plus 25%. 25% is calculated on the school rate only. If the school adds any additional bonus for ‘elite sub’ or ‘last minute sub’, the 25% is still just calculated on the base school rate.
Sub will stay on Tier 4 for the rest of that calendar month and the month thereafter.
The subs rating is calculated like a Google rating. It is your lifetime rating with Senya. Each job rating can affect your current rating positively or negatively.
Modifications are made for months where school is out for 2 weeks during that calendar month (e.g. August, December). If no school is scheduled for at least 2 weeks in a calendar month, and no other substitute jobs are available in the area, modifications are made to allow subs to reach higher tiers with fewer jobs.
Common questions we get are
Your ‘school ending’ tier status will stay the same in August and September of the next school year. October tier status will depend on how many jobs you completed in September.
